My qualifications |

I started my career as a translator by passing the exam for Staatlich
geprüfte Übersetzerin (State approved translator)
in Saarbrücken, Germany. Later followed the Diploma
in Translation awarded by the Institute of Linguists (IoL)
in London, and the Membership Exam of the Institute
of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) in Milton Keynes.
I am also on the "Approved Translators List" of Visit Britain
and the German Embassy in London.

I have a fast PC with Windows XP, Microsoft Office
(MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Standard
6.0 for reading and annotating PDF files, and a fast Broadband
connection.

Pricing & turnaround times |

My charges are very competitive and are normally based on 1000
words of source language. For very short texts a minimum fee applies.
It usually takes around 36 hours to translate up to 2000 words (subject
to work in hand). Marketing texts take a little longer to allow
for proofreading by another independent translator.

If you are unsure whether I am the right person for the job, give
me a call so that we can discuss your needs. It is my policy not
to accept any work unless I feel confident that I can deliver a
translation of the highest standard.
